The pellet represents a form of renewable energy and in balance with the environment as it is part of the natural cycle of planting, growth and cutting of woodland species from wood. FETM thermo stoves are characterized by very low values of the main polluting elements of our environment, i.e. CO2 and CO. The values obtained from the combustion tests are comparable to those of the gas stoves as proof of the optimization of the pellet combustion.

PELLET: THE NEW GENERATION FUEL

It is presented in wood sawdust suitably dried and compacted under considerable pressure through a die that gives it the shape of cylinders with a diameter of about 7 mm and a length of 2-3 cm.
The essential characteristics of the pellets are the following:

• convenience in distribution inside the brazier which translates into the automation of the boiler power supply;

• high calorific value (variable depending on the tree species used from 4,500 to about 5,100 Kcal / kg);

• practicality in use linked to storage in 15 kg hermetic plastic bags
